K-State is hoping to keep 2018 hoops recruiting stuff relatively quiet - they have a roster they're trying to take to the Final Four right now that doesn't have any scholarship seniors - but they're still absolutely in play for both Mark Smith and Austin Trice.
One could probably make the case they lead for both.
Now, that doesn't mean they'll land both - or either of them - just yet. The recruitment has to be slow played until the season is over due to the scholarship situation. It's the wise, and right, thing to do. But they have excellent shots at both of them, and suddenly being a Sweet 16 team doesn't hurt in making Manhattan look like a good destination.
