So just to get this out of the way, I want Bruce fired or eased into retirement. Enough is enough.
Having said that, what about the basketball roster? I've grouped them into four categories: Should try hard to keep, should probably keep, maybe keep, and who cares. Here's how I see it.
Should Try Hard To Keep:
1. Davion Bradford - Good big with soft hands who tries to dunk everything. They don't grow on trees. Needs to rebound and defend better.
2. Nijel Pack - Not a true point guard, but can handle the ball and is good from deep. He will probably always be a defensive liability, but you need to score points to win.
Should Probably Keep:
3. Dajaun Gordon - Can't shoot and may never be able to. Not an explosive athlete, but a smooth one. Can play at this level.
Maybe Keep:
4. Montavious Murphy - Has shown flashes when healthy, but he's rarely healthy. Seems considerable upside is available if he/the program is willing to stick it out.
5. Selton Miguel - Can't shoot at all and may never be able to (sound familiar?). A good playmaker/passer, who tries and sometimes succeeds at defending.
Who Cares?
All the rest of them. I suppose you could make "maybe keep" cases for Kasubke and Antonio Gordon.
