Those points in the paint and 2 point shooting were killers. K-State came into this game hitting 57.6% on 2 point shots, good for #17 in the country. West Virginia asserted their will in the paint and caused us to shoot only 10-30 compared to WVU's 26-40. When we beat WVU in Manhattan last year we shot 56.4% on 2s and they shot 44.1%. The game can be simple sometimes.

Also Teddy Allen came into the game scoring at a rate of 36.3 points per 100 when he was on the floor this year, but was only playing about 30% minutes. He scored 22 in 19 minutes tonight. WVU didn't hit a lot of 3s, but the ones that West and Bolden hit were killers. Huggins teams play so tough and tonight exemplified that. Carter was a great point guard tonight and ran the show. They have a great shot to win this league.

We talk a lot about the core four and needed 2 to play well. I'll amend that and say we have to have 1 of Barry/Kam play well. Tonight they struggled (Kam really struggled) and like Tulsa our offense was out of sync. That even though Sneed and Wade played well on that end of the floor, but we'll go as far as Barry and Kam take us.

Its disappointing to have another home loss, its simply happened far too often the last two years for Bruce. That said, there are plenty of games left. Go 7-2 at home and 3-6 on the road and we'll be fine.
