We are beginning to look around at schools for our oldest who will graduate HS in a few years. He is interested in engineering but may end up looking at Engg Tech because he wants something more hands on. Anyway, we live in Iowa so the first school we took a look at was Iowa State (BOOOO! I know I know). Tuition was between $12-13K full time for a year (in state), no credit limit. K-State was about $1K more per year IF you are in state and averaging 32 credit hours per year. Was shocked at the undergrad enrollment differences between the two. KSU is at about 2800 undergrad while ISU is over 9000. ISU is generally ranked between 40-50 in the US and KSU seems to hover around 100 (seems like they have taken a bit of a slide since I last looked years ago). Am not sure ISU offers Engg Technology like KSU does. Getting ready to look into that. Thoughts on Engg Tech?
