So our new bb commit got me thinking how dumb the ncaa is that in basketball if you appear in one game in a whole season you lose your redshirt but in football you can play up to 4 games and still redshirt. Mr. Colbert played in 4 games this past season at LSU so by football rules he could have redshirted and he would be coming to us with 4 years left to play but because it's basketball his freshman year counts and he only has 3 years left. It makes no sense for football and basketball to have different redshirt rules...to be fair since 4 games in football is 1/3rd of the season and most basketball schedules are 30 games I think they should allow basketball players to play in up to 10 games in a season and still redshirt. Just another thing on a long list of problems for the ncaa to fix.
