I'm not sure it's been realized yet..........but based upon how gene will do things to support his coaches.. we can probably assume that there is a decent chance the powers to be decide that bruce gets 2 years to rebuild this thing
and that's will annoy everybody... the decision that gene will make will probably be
1. fire bruce now situation..
2. or give him 2 years
and i think many people, including myself, are comfortable with 1 more year to dig out, but the reality is, things are so far down this year, that you basically sign up for this frosh and the next class have 2 years to develop
