I saw Olathe North vs Olathe South on Thursday and then Topeka at Seaman on Friday

The 2021 RB from Olathe North is bigger than what people say. He's probably 5-foot-10 or so and probably around 185-190 pounds. He just doesn't have the natural speed or shake that guys like Deuce Vaughn and Keyon Mozee have, so I wonder if he will be someone that K-State seriously considers. We'll see. His vision is good, his cuts are great and can make defenders miss, and then he finishes runs with a lot of toughness and physicality. Sometimes you want to take players like him and figure it out later, but I'm also not convinced he can play anything besides RB.
KY THOMAS
Before the questions come, his recruitment is still unfolding. I like where Kansas State is at, but they wish to let this fly under the radar so a bunch of teams don't see an opening and flood him with attention. He doesn't want to be recruited all over again like he was prior. Despite my optimism and what I've heard about the Wildcats' chances, I'd be lying if I wasn't weary of Minnesota's 5-0 start. And if you look at their schedule, they have potential to do even more damage. It's soft.
Play-wise, he was as good as always. He had 5 touchdowns on not even 15 carries. His vision is incredible and his speed is better than what I saw last year, and that has more to do with him being comfortable and familiar with his body after hitting a growth spurt. He is just so much better athletically than everyone else at this level, that it can get him into a trap. Ky probably knows this but he's not going to be able to reverse fields and circle back as much as he does now. Sometimes he does it when he doesn't have to, and still gets away with it. You'll hear his dad shouting for him to just get downhill, which was what I was thinking, too. He won't be as elusive in college, but he's going to be able to make the first defender miss, still, with pretty good regularity. His added strength and size has allowed him to develop quite the stiff-arm, too.
It's easy to see how much he means to Topeka High... Ky is a running back, free safety, kick returner, punt returner, and punter.
