1.) PREMER INTEL: All the visits are in the books for four-star tight end Ian Premer of Great Bend. He saw all of Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Notre Dame. Going into his final visit, the one to Manhattan, I heard three different top twos so to speak. Some said it was K-State or Notre Dame. Some said it was the Cyclones or Fighting Irish. And some said it would come down to Iowa State and Kansas State. However, I was inching closer to a prediction of Iowa State because they seemed like the most consistent school when speaking to folks and I believe they have been his favorite coaching staff for the duration. However, they are just really behind on the financial component of it. I can also said though there is confidence on the side of the Fighting Irish, they just landed tight end Preston Fryzel and are viewed as the favorite for Evan Jacobson and not the Cyclones. Obviously, that would give them two tight ends. They'd still take Premer in that scenario, but chances probably decrease. Though it may just be a coincidence, the chatter around KU has dissipated since they added a second tight end themselves in Kevin Sullivan of Rockhurst. Though the Jayhawks remain confident, sources at the three other programs do not believe they are a threat any longer. With that being said, they have an elite financial package for him, as does Kansas State. Though it could just be the high of the visit, the steam and buzz is on K-State right now. I tend to think it's a battle between Kansas State and Iowa State at the moment.

2.) TIMETABLE: Most think he'll wait to make an announcement in July. However, I'm told he'll inform schools before that. Stay tuned.
