Ladies and gentlemen, in the words of Dumb and Dumber, I'm about to tell you there's a chance.
There's a chance that Xavier Kelly will be at Sporting Park on Saturday for K-State's Spring Game.
I just exchanged text messages with the former commit who is caught between a drive to Kansas City and Oklahoma City this weekend.
"I might be up there!," Kelly said. "It depends. I also have a camp that day. If I can't go to the camp, I will definitely be there (Spring Game)."
Kelly is slated to participate in OKC at the Semper Fidelis All-America Camp beginning at 8:30 and concluding at 2:30. For one reason or another, getting to that camp may not be able to happen for Kelly and his family though, leaving the door open for a dash north to KC.
The defensive end is going to (fingers crossed) keep me in tune with what he decides to do on Saturday. I told him it sounds like the Wildcats aren't out of the picture just yet. His response?
"I have to keep my hometown in!"
