Plain and simple this is a bad loss for cats. Now we have to win at Baylor to have a chance just to have a seat in the big 12 championship game. I hope our defense of staff gets us ready for the game next week, a loss and we might as well just take it. We deserve better.

we beat Texas with Will Howard at quarterback. He would have carved them up just like he did with OK State and TCU.

Martinez put up some decent numbers, but every time he drops back, I hold my breath. It takes him forever to get the ball out and many of his passes come after sitting in the pocket for multiple seconds and/or having to extend the play with his legs. It's the exact opposite with Howard. He makes his reads quickly and the ball is always out on time.

Defenses also do not respect Martinez's ability to throw. They take Deuce out of the game and dare Martinez to beat them with his arm. Things opened up for Deuce more when Howard was at quarterback.

Again, I don't think Martinez is a bad player. I just think Howard is better and what he showed against OK State and TCU is better than anything we have seen out of Martinez (including the OU game).
