The orange grifter is still at it

WASHINGTON (AP) — Thousands of copies of Donald Trump’s “God Bless the USA” Bible were printed in a country that the former president has repeatedly accused of stealing American jobs and engaging in unfair trade practices — China.

Global trade records reviewed by The Associated Press show a printing company in China’s eastern city of Hangzhou shipped close to 120,000 of the Bibles to the United States between early February and late March.

The estimated value of the three separate shipments was $342,000, or less than $3 per Bible, according to databases that use customs data to track exports and imports. The minimum price for the Trump-backed Bible is $59.99, putting the potential sales revenue at about $7 million.

The Trump Bible’s connection to China, which has not been previously reported, reveals a deep divide between the former president’s harsh anti-China rhetoric and his rush to cash in while campaigning.

Already reneging on his agenda

Donald Trump has failed to meet one of his highest-profile pre-election promises—when the war in Ukraine will end. “I would fix that within 24 hours. And, if I win, before I get into the office, I will have that war settled. A hundred percent sure,” Trump said on Hannity in 2023. It’s been over 48 hours since Trump won the presidential election, and there’s no end in sight for the conflict.

trump's VP Vance-Part 2

J.D. Vance, winner of Donald Trump’s The Apprentice-style Veepstakes contest, told a group of young conservatives that they should listen to “nonconventional” people like conspiracist Alex Jones in a candid closed-door speech in 2021.

“But if you listen to Alex Jones every day, you would believe that a transnational financial elite controls things in our country,” Vance pivoted to say. “That they hate our society, and, oh, by the way, a lot of them are probably sex perverts too.” Jones, the owner of the far-right Infowars site.

Vance also added that the conspiracy he most believes in is that “the devil is real” and is pulling the strings behind all the “terrible things” in our society. “That’s a crazy conspiracy theory to a lot of very well-educated people in this country right now,” he went on to say.

Linkon Cure update

Received a note earlier today that K-State TE commit Linkon Cure is planning a visit to Oregon for this weekend. This has been in the works, but it seems like it might actually happen.

Two notes, that I will continue to mention:

-This doesn’t mean he’s flipping. K-State has built great relationships with Cure, and he’s returned the favor (visiting KSU’s away game v. Colorado on this own dime). I think this means K-State will have to keep being aggressive in his recruitment. They fought off top programs for Avery Johnson, they can do it again.

-With K-State on bye, I wonder if they travel to Goodland before the weekend. Recruiting is a big focus this week, and he’s the top target.

Some of the people that determine our president-Good Grief!!!

Election Day seems to have called some members of the American electorate out of hibernation. Google Trends showed spiking search interest in the United States for the query “Did Joe Biden drop out?” over the past two days, surging to an even higher peak on Tuesday as voters took to the polls to pick between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The vice president replaced President Biden as the Democratic nominee in July after his disastrous debate performance versus Trump
