Max Jones injury update

Cal State Fullerton transfer Max Jones didn't participate in the MBB exhibition and was seen on the sideline in a walking boot. After the game, Jerome Tang said that Jones suffered a toe injury and it that it isn't considered serious. With this being an exhibition, I imagine they felt comfortable with him sitting it out to not aggravate anything. He was on the sideline the whole game and was involved in huddles and timeouts. He should have a major role this season, and there's a good chance he starts at one of the guard spots.

We'll see if he plays on Tuesday against New Orleans. It's possible they rest him until he's 100% healthy, but it doesn't seem like there's any concern about this being a nagging issue.

Questions?

1. What did WVa and KU do to bottle up Giddens? That also means, what were we not doing?

2. We obviously struggled to stop the QB run the last two weeks. What’s going on with that?

3. We had a lot of visitors last weekend, I presume we will get a follow up report?

4. Any more news with the BB team with regard to progress etc? That may be hard to say until we actually begin the season.

Quick Linkon Cure reaction

Hey guys, exchanged a couple texts with four-star TE commit Linkon Cure. He told me that the visit was awesome and he had a lot of fun. The visit did re-confirm why he committed to the program in the first place. That's the good news.

The other news is that there's still a strong chance he ends up going back to Eugene to visit Oregon. I believe that visit will happen before he can make a final decision.

I'm tired of hearing how KU is a better team than their record

No they are not. They have only beaten Lindenwood (think Devries with a football team) and Houston. Lindenwood and Houston? Really??? Suddenly with an expected win over Houston they are transformed into a champion. I don't think so.

I've heard how KU had leads in the fourth quarter. SO WHAT! It does not necessarily mean that they were the better team than Illinios, UNLV, and West Virginia. It could also be just as logically implied that they were lucky to just be in the lead late in the game. Heck, even hapless TCU beat KU handily.

With the possible exception of Illinios (and I personally think Colorado is better than Illinois) KSU would have easily beaten everyone on KU's schedule.

No, KU has a few pieces. KU still lacks depth. A wise man once told me that bad teams find ways to lose. That saying applies to KU.

KSU is the better team and will win by double digits tonight.
