Chicago State. - Big Game Tomorrow

Cardet was at Samford before Chicago State

Class of 2021 four-star small forward Wesley Cardet has committed to Samford. Cardet chose Samford over Alabama, Kansas State, Illinois, Georgia among others. While many schools were in pursuit, Samford really recruited Cardet hard and has a system in place where he feels he can excel the most.

“They have a great system that fits my overall game play really well. Position was huge. They will have me playing the combo guard, playing on and off the ball and that's the way I want to play. I'm also really close to coach Buck, who really recruited me the hardest out of all the coaches. My uncle is also one of the assistant coaches over there.”

2 **

Watching the bowl game, the TV guys kept mentioning that Cooper Beebe was a consensus All-American. I could not remember his recruitment so I looked it up on Rivals. He was a 2 ** recruit!!!!! So I looked up all the 2 **'s in the 2018-2023 classes who have been very productive. They were Malik Knowles, Josh Youngblood, Taylor Poitier, Ty Zentner, Cooper Beebe, Christian Moore, Hadley Panzer,Felix Anadike, Desmond Purnell, DJ Giddens, Kobe Savage, Vaii Seumalo, Garrett Oakley, Jack Fabris. Hats off to the 2 **s Who come in and play their heart out and contribute to Wildcat success.

Transfers In

Any other talk out there outside of Jabre Barber WR from Troy possibly visiting K-State? I believe yesterday a memo was posted that WR Elijah Sarratt out of James Madison was offered by K-State but that'll be a pipe dream doubt he'd even visit K-State, hearing a lot of SEC talk on him. The portal entries cease on Jan. 2nd correct? Like to see them grab a couple this early period then see what comes out of the Spring window.

Final Rankings

You gotta wonder where K-State will end up ranked in the final poll? To date 6 teams above them have lost that they could/should pass up (Oklahoma, NC State, James Madison, Louisville, SMU, Tulane) Iowa and Tenn. play each other so one will lose, Oregon State and Liberty likely will also? Don't see any of the top 10ish dropping below them if they'd lose. Easily could end up inside the Top 20, which is important come next years initial poll. Could also see KU and WV sneaking into the Top 25 final poll.

A note about press conferences

Hey guys, wanted to update you!

Chris Klieman, Avery Johnson and DJ Giddens met with the media following the game.

I'm in the process of driving home, so it'll be a while before they're up, but all of the press conferences will be up soon -- either tonight or tomorrow AM. Will also have some quotes from Cooper Beebe, Jayce Brown, and others from after the game.

Thanks for cooperating and the support you guys have shown all season. Best K-State community on the internet.

Bowl Game Depth Charts

Did a little checking into Bowl Game Depth Charts for contending teams for next years Big 12. These are the teams with Sr's W/O eligibility left. K-State 3-Offense 1-Defense, KU 5-Offense 7-Defense, Utah 0-Offense 1-Defense, Arizona 5-Offense 4-Defense, WV 1-Offense 3-Defense, Iowa State 3-Offense 3-Defense, Oklahoma State 9-Offense 6-Defense. Kinda interesting not sure what it means but Utah will be tough with QB coming back from injury, WV with there showing maybe a dark horse, Bet KU wishes Bean was coming back instead of injury prone Daniels?
