Basketball recruiting Late night recruiting nuggets

I got some pretty good news regarding North Texas transfer Tylor Perry tonight. Seems like that is a strong chance of happening. He just visited Florida, will visit Arkansas and then K-State after that. If the staff really wants him, it’s likely to happen.

K-State also seems in a good spot with Aaron Estrada of Hofstra. They aren’t out on Abmas yet, but I think they have really good contingencies set up and ready to go if/when he goes elsewhere. But again, they are not out on Abmas and he is the number one priority.

It is also likely that another scholarship will open up in the near future, so K-State is going to have four open spots to play with versus three.

Expert Analysis:
Pro Football Focus:
"Anudike-Uzomah was one of the best edge defenders in the country over the past two seasons. He finished 2021 with 13 sacks and 52 total tackles to go along with a 20.7% pass-rush win rate, which earned him an 89.9 grade in that area. Those numbers dipped a little in 2022, but he still generated 46 total pressures and made 34 solo tackles. Anudike-Uzomah has excellent physical traits for a defensive end and is just 21 years old with a lot of room to grow."

Football Recruiting Quick nugget on 2024 DB

Texas 2024 DB Carson Williams has set his visit date to K-State for April 15. The offer came in early February from Van Malone, who is a family friend of Williams' mom.

Currently, his only offers are the Cats, Utah State and Texas State but also has been hearing from TCU and LA Tech. His Hudl film shows his explosiveness, which is one of the reasons Malone offered.

If the visit to Manhattan goes well, Williams is wanting to make his college commitment on August 4. We'll have more from Williams after his visit.

I think it would be interesting to look at the teams, returning players etc.

We will be a young team and certainly a “new” team. The transfer portal will be a factor but not as much as this past year’s team.

TCU was an “old” team this year so they will certainly look different.

I see where 5 players on the KU team have entered the transfer portal and Dick has entered the NBA draft.

Baylor was a young team, I think.

Any analysis should include the new teams to the league.
