Markquis...

In Thursday's game, Markquis Nowell fell to the court and rolled his right ankle before a timeout. He was carried to the bench where team trainers removed his shoe and sock to retape his ankle. He then checked back into the game and helped lead K-State to the Elite 8 with a win over Michigan State.

On Friday, he said that he was up late into the night rehabbing his ankle with ice, stretches and other movements, as well as sleep. He said that his ankle is about 85-90 percent healthy and that he went through practice on Friday as the team prepares to play Florida Atlantic on Saturday evening.

Nowell is expected to play against FAU and in the Wildcats' first three NCAA Tournament games he is averaging an impressive 21 points and 14 assists, which includes setting the school's assist (19) and NCAA Tournament record in the win over Michigan State.

Cats 1.5 point favorite,...but-from Yahoo Sports

But there's just something about this Florida Atlantic team. The only knock against the Owls is they play in Conference USA. Everything else on their resume indicates they belong in this Elite Eight and they wouldn't be a fluky Final Four team. They were just under-seeded. Kansas State isn't the type of team that will blow FAU away with size or athleticism. I think a good three-point shooting Owls team knocks down shots and goes to the Final Four.

Can you believe the trumpers?

  • As my late mother was wont to say"Ignorance gone to seed".

  • Trump's earlier claim of his Tuesday arrest was false, but it's already boosted his fundraising.
  • He raised $1.5 million in the three days after saying he'd be arrested, per multiple reports.
  • That's $500,000 per day, or almost double the daily average he received when he launched his 2024 bid.
Former President Donald Trump raised $1.5 million in the three days after he falsely claimed on Truth Social that he'd be arrested on Tuesday, per multiple media outlets.
