Placing a major FutureCast prediction for K-State

It might be a little delayed but I said I was going to hold off until after official visits to place this FutureCast prediction…

Now that those are over, I’ve placed a FutureCast prediction on Linkon Cure, in favor of K-State.

Cure has been at the top of K-State’s radar for a while, and the early reports out of his official visit is that K-State helped themselves with a strong weekend.

I’m not sure when a commitment will happen, but I think they’ve done enough to land his commitment when it happens during the summer.

Typical response from a cult member

The man railed about “fake news CNN,” said Trump will “cook them” and “shred them” like “a turkey” at the presidential debate the network is hosting next week between Trump and President Joe Biden.

Trump, who has for years lashed out at CNN’s critical coverage of him, will also “expose” the network for “the fraud they are,” the man added.

Selvig challenged the man on “what specifically” the network has lied about.
“I don’t know. I don’t watch it,” he replied, before chuckling.

Selvig responded, “All right, well, you got a shirt that’s just peeing on it, and you call it fake news. So what specifically have they lied about? What makes them fake news?”

“I don’t know, I don’t watch it. I watch Fox News,” the man replied.
“Right. But you call them fake news. Why do you think they’re fake news? What are they saying that’s fake?” Selvig prodded again

The man hesitated and then silently turned away.
“All right. There you have it,” said Selvig.

What’s up, guys! Normally I’d have a full fledged article for this, but I have a nasty case of the flu and feel like crud. Regardless, here who is visiting K-State this weekend:

Comment from Rep. Schiff:

“My Republican colleagues don’t really contest Donald Trump’s guilt. This is the fascinating thing. Their argument is essentially he should have never been prosecuted. Or they falsely claim it was a political prosecution. Or they falsely claim it should have been a misdemeanor, not a felony,” Schiff said. “But they don’t contest, not really, that Donald Trump was making hush money payments to a porn star to hide their affair from voters.”

The California Democrat said that Republicans are saying they’re “more than comfortable” nominating and electing a president who made hush money payments to a porn star.

“The party, formerly of the ‘moral majority,’ is now, I suppose, trying to fashion some kind of immoral majority to reinstate Donald Trump as president,” Schiff said.

A note on a K-State basketball target

Well, things have officially gotten interesting...

Coleman Hawkins was set to visit Louisville this weekend, but our Louisville site recently reported that he will NOT be taking that visit. Instead, it appears that Hawkins will be pursuing other options in the transfer portal.

I'm not sure if K-State will receive a visit, but this is good news for the Wildcats. They have been interested in Hawkins even after landing Ugonna Onyenso, and they now have one less contender for him. NIL has been a big talking point in this recruitment, and while I'm sure how much money K-State can truly offer, I do not expect money to be an issue for K-State.

Other schools are certainly interested, especially those with big NIL budgets. But K-State is in a solid position and could make things interesting if they land a visit. I will let y'all know if he schedules a K-State visit, but there's a possibility they choose to keep any visit under wraps, like they did with other recruits earlier this cycle.

Big 12 looking to sell naming rights and ownership stake

The Big 12 is looking to make an unprecedented move, selling their naming rights to a company.

Appears they’re in discussions with Allstate. The name? “Allstate 12” and nothing like “The Big 12 presented by Allstate”

Trying to find out more information, but here’s what we know right now. They would be the first conference to do, but others (Conference USA) is also looking to follow suit.
